A safe space for neurodiverse, queer and trans people

Are you looking for a safe space to improve your mental health? I focus on working with queer or LGBT+ clients, and/or people with chronic health conditions or are neurodiverse. It might be that your exploring these aspects directly, or are just looking for a space that can hold your experience whilst you navigate other issues with relationships, work or family life.

About me and my practice

Central to all my practice is trying to create space where my clients feel welcome, and able to share whatever parts of themself and life experiences they want or need. I offer an affirming space for people of all genders, sexualities, relationship styles and those questioning. I also actively welcome neurodiverse clients and Disabled clients and I'm open to creatively accommodating access needs.

I am a counselling psychotherapist working with adults 18+ and my background is in integrative and collaborative therapy models, working with you to find an approach that meets your needs. Our first session will be about figuring out how we could work together, based on your preferences and what you are hoping to understand or change with counselling.

Experience

I retrained as a therapist, wanting to more directly support people after working in research in universities and for charities, with focused work on gender and sexuality, as well as mental health.

I have been working with clients for over four years now, on a range of issues. The two areas I have considerable experience with are people exploring and navigating gender identity and transition, and those processing their experiences of neuro-diversity (including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, or ASD).
